Things i don't understand

so I set up this blog for me and you to at least write about the things I don't understand anymore.

My most immediate rant concerns attempting to get information about a usb wireless adapter that I purchased from Amazon. I wanted to know if it would work when hooked up to a usb hub. You would think this would be very simple information to find. Not so.

This is the path I took to find out.

1. Searched the web for information about the specific product. All kinds of information but nothing the related to a hub.
2. I bought the item from Amazon through one of their seller, J & R Music. A phone call to them got me the D-link 800 number.
3. The 800 number got me to sales after a two minute automated selection process where I was promptly put on hold. I hung up after 5 minutes
4. Went to chat functions with both Newegg and Tiger Direct. Neither one was willing to tell if it either would work or would not, saying they were just resellers and that I would need to check with the mfg's.
5. Back to the web. Got another phone number for customer service. Was on hold for another 5 minutes finally got to a live person for whom English was maybe a 3rd language.
6. I asked her if she knew whether it would work or not. She 1st told me that it would only work on computers. I restated the ? to her telling her that I was going to connect the hub to the computer. In that scenario would the wireless adapter work? Her 1st response was "why are you going to do that?" I told her it was none of her business. She finally acknowledged that it should work. Total time spent on a $29 purchase 2 plus hours.

Is there anyone in the world who is willing to step up, make a decision and live by the results?
